La Barranca captures the essence of Warren Avis' legendary villa in Acapulco, photographed by the iconic Slim Aarons in January 1971. The dramatic cliffside architecture rises against the Pacific horizon, where modernist concrete and glass meet the raw beauty of Mexican coastline. Terraced levels cascade down the rocky precipice, each offering unobstructed views of the endless ocean beyond. The interplay of shadow and sunlight across the geometric forms creates a study in contrasts, embodying the effortless elegance and sun-drenched sophistication that defined this golden era of international luxury.

More than a stunning architectural portrait, La Barranca transforms your space into a gallery of midcentury glamour and adventurous spirit. This photograph becomes an instant conversation catalyst, inviting guests to discover the story of Warren Avis, the visionary entrepreneur who built this cliffside masterpiece as his personal paradise. The bold composition and warm palette bring energy and sophistication to your walls, creating an atmosphere where modern design sensibility meets timeless wanderlust. Your space gains the cultural depth that comes from owning a piece of photographic history, positioning you among collectors who appreciate the intersection of architecture, travel, and the art of living well.

Available in professional photo lustre or elegant matte finish, this museum-quality print arrives expertly framed in your choice of black, white, or natural wood. Slim Aarons dedicated his career to capturing what he called attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places, and this photograph exemplifies that vision perfectly. Transform your home with this extraordinary window into Acapulco's most dramatic residence today.

Q: Prints are listed in cm and inches - what size will I receive?
We produce prints in both metric (cm) and imperial (inches) sizes. The sizing format depends on the product type and your delivery location. In almost all cases, the difference between metric and imperial conversions is only a few millimetres.

Q: How does the border affect the size of the print?
The total size of the print always matches the size you select. If you choose to add a border, it is included within that size and slightly reduces the image area.

Q: What are the dimensions if I order a framed print?
The size you select refers to the internal dimensions of the frame — the print size including any border. The frame moulding adds approximately an inch to each side, so the outer framed dimensions will be about 2 inches larger in both height and width.

Q: Are these limited-edition or numbered prints?
All prints are not produced in fixed or numbered editions. Each piece is made to order using archival pigment inks on museum-grade fine-art paper for exceptional clarity and longevity.
