Slim Aarons

Bikini Society serves as a window into the past, much like an exquisite painting that encapsulates a moment of grace and friendship. The iconic photograph by Slim Aarons, taken in February 1972, artfully depicts Christina Chambonne, Elinor Hill, Clare Davidson, Suzy Naggia, and Carole Page engaged in lively conversation by an enchanting pool in Acapulco, each exuding a unique charm reminiscent of a golden age of leisure and refinement.

Slim Aarons takes you poolside at Las Brisas, where Christina Chambonne, Elinor Hill, Clare Davidson, Suzy Naggia, and Carole Page share easy conversation under the Mexican sun. Captured at the height of the jet-set era, Bikini Society distills glamour, friendship, and a carefree sense of possibility into one sun-lit frame.

Renowned for portraying 'attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places,' Aarons delivers exactly that here. The calm turquoise water, sun-bleached stone, and pastel swimwear set a relaxed stage, while each woman's poised yet natural stance tells its own story. The result is an image that feels both intimate and iconic, transporting you to a golden afternoon where time seems to slow.

Printed from the original 1970s negative, every edition of Bikini Society preserves the subtle grain and warm colour palette that give vintage photographs their unmistakable charm. From a normal viewing distance the details sit in perfect harmony, offering a quintessential Slim Aarons experience that brings the sophistication of that era into your space.

Hang Bikini Society as the centerpiece of your living room, bedroom, or pool house, and let this photograph spark conversations about travel, style, and the enduring allure of leisurely luxury. More than décor, this print is a passport to a world where the sun always shines and the poolside whispers never end.

Q: Prints are listed in cm and inches - what size will I receive?
We produce prints in both metric (cm) and imperial (inches) sizes. The sizing format depends on the product type and your delivery location. In almost all cases, the difference between metric and imperial conversions is only a few millimetres.

Q: How does the border affect the size of the print?
The total size of the print always matches the size you select. If you choose to add a border, it is included within that size and slightly reduces the image area.

Q: What are the dimensions if I order a framed print?
The size you select refers to the internal dimensions of the frame — the print size including any border. The frame moulding adds approximately an inch to each side, so the outer framed dimensions will be about 2 inches larger in both height and width.

Q: Are these limited-edition or numbered prints?
All prints are not produced in fixed or numbered editions. Each piece is made to order using archival pigment inks on museum-grade fine-art paper for exceptional clarity and longevity.
